FAQ

How do I prepare?

You don’t need to do anything! You can all wear what you are comfortable in. If you want to stay in your PJ’s all day, I won’t judge. (Although I might be a little jealous.)  If your kid wants to wear his Spider-man costume, more power to him.

Why would I want a 4-8 hour session?

4 hours allows for your family to stop caring that I am there and just be. Be funny, be sad, be tired, be joyful, be messy and just be real. 8 hours provides opportunities to tell a more complete  story.

Does my house/rental have to be spotless?

No way!  Everyday clean is great.  The messes and chaos are all part of the story. (I find anyone with little kids and a spotless house highly suspicious!)

What can we do?

You don’t have to “do” anything out of the ordinary, but if you want to plan some activities, I can help you with ideas.

Will we be interesting to photograph?

Your every day has so many beautiful, raw moments worth capturing. From the kids rubbing their eyes when they first climb out of bed, to you collapsing on the sofa after story time at night, and everything in between.

What if my kids act up?

Good! Mischief makes for great photos. All kids act up, that is part of family life. Everything is not “perfect,” it is better!  Let me show you!

What if my partner doesn't like having their picture taken?

Many don’t. That is why documentary family sessions are a hit with moms and dads alike. They don’t have to perform or be bribed; they just get to hang out with their family.

In short, this is super easy and fun, with no expectations!
